Does the MC have a knock sensor?
Does the MC have a knock sensor?
I started by using 92 octane gas, but figured the engine has some kind of detonation protection, so I tried 89 octane, which produces no knock, or ping, so I must be right about the knock sensor. Does anyone know where it's located? I want to know if using lower octane gas can affect engine performance. If it doesn't, then I could use a more aggressive timing curve for better performance. This is a non-supercharged engine. Thanks for your tips. -Jeffy.
they have knock sensor on the front of the block if u have had any cold start issues u may have been told by someone to use 87 octane for a while so go for it if u wanna put in the cheap gas it will adjust eventually but preformeance and mpg may go down
