first time in the shop for my 05 MCS
first time in the shop for my 05 MCS
so, i get in my car this morning to whats suppose to be a normal day into to work. To my suprise, my car wouldn't start! First thought, dead battery. But I knew it wasn't that as the car would crank, sometimes turning over, to just die a few seconds later. I just recently filled up so I know I have gas in the tank - the roadside assistance rep even asked me when the last time I filled up. I only have 7000 miles on my car and its already sick...how sad
Luckily this happenned at my house- if i'm gonna be stranded, i'm happy it happenned in the comfort of my own home.
Has this happenned to anyone? I'm hoping its something small...my car drove fine the day before. So for it to not start out of the blue is really strange. I hope this doesn't become a trend.....

Hasn't happened to me yet, but I have fewer miles than you. Today my car's transmission (MCSa) seemed to stick in 4th (or 5th?) longer than usual. I thought it was a fluke but it happened 3 times. Never before.
Maybe MINIs have been designed with so much personality that our cars have become bored and want us to experience something different every few miles. Good luck with your car. I hope your MCS hasn't caught the MCSa virus.
