ac control panel went out..I have the fix

The other day my AC control panel went out and I had no AC. I took it to the dealer and they asked me to bring it back in a few days. All the fuses were fine and they figured it was a "grounding issue" which frankly made sense due to some other symptoms. Today I took it to R Speed and hector could not find anything after about 1/2 hour. I was ready to take it to the dealer and leave it for my apointment tomorrow. Hector said, "did you unhook the battery." I said, "no" and he said, "worth a try." Sure enough...unhooked the battery and stepped on the brake pedal to discharge the caps...hooked it back up and bingo....everything is working. Just something to keep in your hat if you ever need it.

Thank you Hector.

As many things share wiring and are overridden by the various -buss systems, eth cassionalo 001110001010010100PS happens. reboot does the trick. Note to self > install battery cutoff switch.

So the mini's LAN comm system must be MS Windows based

Let's hope the brake system isn't part of it....

On MINI-OS [Home or Professional] you can use the Horn-Brake-Unlock key combination to reset your car.
