Autozone cone filter - More harm than good?

Autozone cone filter - More harm than good?

hey guys, has anyone tried to use just one of those off brand or APC cone filters from autozone on an MC? i really dont wanna spend over 190 bucks for a filter and a piece of pipe fror a name brand one.

has anyone used one yet?

Options -

1) you might want to look on Ebay, I've seen some cheapies there.
2) simply replace stock filter with a ITG filter.
3) post on the market board that you are looking for a used one.
4) HAI should be a cheaper alternative.
5) wait until Christmas and ask Santa Clause

Personally, I would go with a CAI that has been tested or has a track record this website has some write ups -

which I found useful in making my decision.

On a NA motor, I would just use the factory filter.
