Others (frails, CharlesVillager) noted in another thread that they have a problem with their right foot wanting to press down real hard (a condition I share). If you share the same affliction, then it's time to rejoice!

I had my Cooper in the shop yesterday for the usual problems (airbag light, etc). I had a nice long chat with the service technician, Dan. He said that the MINI's ECU has an adaptive control system that responds and adapts to the way you drive. (If this has been discussed elsewhere, forgive me.) In any case, in his experience with BMWs that have the same (or similar) system, two cars of the same model, driven by different people will have different performance characteristics. And in his experience, the cars that have been driven harder perform better.

Now go out and stomp on that gas pedal and make your MINI happy!
