I don´t know if somebody else posted it, but the article on autoweek.com had was dated as of today. Here´s the info:

Mini recalling CVT-equipped vehicles to correct transmission fluid slip-up
If you own one of the few BMW Mini Coopers equipped with a continuously variable transmission, your Mini dealer wants to see you. CVT Minis built between August and October 2002 were filled with the wrong transmission fluid, which could cause the trans clutch to slip.
Mini dealers will flush the old oil from affected models and replace it with proper fluid at no charge.

This is old news and there are already some ongoing discussion topics on this.
Cooper CVT owners should call MINIUSA first and provide their vehicle VIN number to see if their car is affected by the recall. Mine wasn't included in the recall, although it was an early August 2002 build. The recall affects mostly 2003 Cooper CVT's built between Set-Oct 2002.
