Painting The Engine Covers...

hey guys,
i was just wondering what paint you have used to paint some of the plastick parts under the hood of your mini. i tried some of the duplicolor 1200degree hi temp paint, but it appears it didnt bite. i think i need something else, but i'm afraid regular....say...rustoleum might peel under the heat. any suggestions?
