Stock Problems/IssuesDiscussions related to warranty related issues and repairs, or other problems with the OEM parts and software for MINI Clubman (R55), Cooper and Cooper S(R56), and Cabrio (R57).
How would I diagnose the r56 eps pump it isn’t working anymore and I want to know the procedure in which to do and how much voltage should be coming out of signal and power wire. I have a multimeter just don’t know if I would need to turn ignition on, engine on, or something else
Well it’s a 2010 mini cooper s but it’s kswapped so it’s a little harder than that. When I was swapping the engine I saw a mouse chewed through the wiring for it so I repaired it and crimped the wires but I wanna make sure I’m getting the correct voltage and everything to the correct wires and correct slots in the connector
K-swap is important information. Does your ECU have a way to report EPS faults? Do you have a scan tool that can read live EPS module data from the ECU? I'm looking for the easiest most reliable way to pinpoint the problem.
Did you check 80A fuse FL4 and the brown wire ground pin?
The power and ground are shown in circuit diagram below. You should read ~battery voltage at the red wire power pin.

I have the stock mini ecu and a kprov4 in the car so when I get home from work I’ll see if the mini one is throwing a code. I do not have a scan tool that can read live data but I’ll go over the wiring when I work on it this weekend
