Aftermarket Turbo Recommendations

Just bought a 2009 R55 S. 133k miles. Needing to replace the oil lines, while I'm in there I figure might as well do the turbo, aux water pump, oil filter/oil cooler gaskets. Looking for recommendations on an aftermarket turbo that doesn't cost more than the OE BorgWarner

Hello,

If you want to keep the car and keep it stock, i would do the borg warner stock turbo. Not the upgrade. Also do the install kit at the same time. The list you have is good, also we have lifetime replacement.

What are you wanting out of your Mini? Just an upgrade go with the JCW turbo and the JCW exhaust manifold.

Not looking for an upgrade. Just looking to not spend $1k on a Turbo. Was thinking since these have been on the market long enough maybe some of the other brands are decent enough quality

Honestly, unless your current turbo is leaking oil or has wastegate issues, I would just keep it. Replace your oil lines, replace the oil filter housing gaskets, replace the auxiliary water pump, and be done.
