Hey guys, while under the hood, i noticed that my part of my turbo is brown. I believe its dried up oil, because i cant imagine it being rust with it being only 8k miles old. But are your turbos like this? Is this normal?

 

It is rust... This is normal: the turbo housing is made up of 2 different metals: aluminium and steel. The steel of that section corrodes, but only on the surface.

 

It's normal. Wait till you take your turbo heat shield off one day and see how pretty it looks
