Headlight connector and wiring
Headlight connector and wiring
Hi all
Feel like I'm going a bit mad here...
Was trying to work out which wire colour I need to tap into at the headlight (non-xenon) to switch the relay for spot lights I've added - so I want the high beam wire (UK)
In the process I've got rather confused...
When I put a multimeter between either of the larger wires and ground (body), I have 12v all the time, even when key out. But the lights aren't on, and there's no voltage on the actual bulb connector.
But light only comes on when switched on, all works as expected
What am I doing , how is this possible

Switches or relays or anything in the headlight unit itself?
Am I making sense ?!
