Help identifying spring

I was working on my car today with the front end jacked up, and this spring fell out the bottom. It looks like a return spring for something, but I can’t see anything missing from under the car. Any idea what this might go to?

You are probably right, that does look like the spring in the hood latch.
Thanks!
