002B5B DTC code
002B5B DTC code
Any suggestions what could be causing this code? I pulled the engine from our 2009 Clubman S to do the timing gear, clutch, and walnut blast the intake valves. I got the car back together and it ran fine for a couple of days. Now I am getting an intermittent run problem where the car will start and idle for a couple of seconds then stumble and die. Later it will start and run for 10-15 minutes without problem but if I shut it down and try to restart it will go back to the mode where it starts, stumbles, and then dies.
I have replaced, the low pressure and high pressure fuel pumps, and had the JBE tested and repaired, and the high pressure fuel values are normal so I don’t think this is a fuel problem. I smoke tested once for vacuum leaks but will test again.
I am now getting DTC code 002B5B, and the message that there is an airflow A plausibility issue. I replaced the MAF so suspect it is either the wiring from the ecu to the MAF, or a vacuum leak. But before I break out the oscilloscope and multimeter and start hunting for wiring issues I thought I would see if there was anything else I should be looking for.

I’ll answer my own question: The 22B5B code was caused by a leak in the turbo air inlet. One of the tubes under the car was not secured and was leaking. Snugging up the hose clamp fixed the error code.
