In briefly searching for a how to change the oil cooler gaskets I couldn't find one. So, here's my quick how to. This was really simple and not bad at all. I lost a little oil when I separated the cooler from the filter housing, but not enough to need to add more based on the line on the dipstick.
Start off by jacking it up (I like to do both sides for maximum space)
Remove the tire and fender liner
Remove the 4 Torx bolts.
I used a 1/4 Torx socket and a combination of 6" and 12"extensions, a universal joint, and a 1/4" drive flex stubby ratchet. My son used a 3/8" long handle ratchet to break one loose, but you should get the idea.
I was able to easily move the cooler out of the way.
Pop out the gaskets with a pick or screwdriver, being careful not to gouge the aluminum.
Clean off the cooler itself.
And as they say,"installation is reverse of removal."
