Stock Problems/IssuesDiscussions related to warranty related issues and repairs, or other problems with the OEM parts and software for MINI Clubman (R55), Cooper and Cooper S(R56), and Cabrio (R57).
I purchased a 2007 Mini Cooper S from an auction site.
On arrival it was a nonstarter with a healthy crank so I got to investigating knowing of the fuel pump relay.
Sure enough there was no power going to the fuel pump to prime the HPFP.
I removed and opened the fuse/relay box in the footwell, however on removal I found that there was a harness socket on the board with no harness attached to it on the top left corner as per the attached picture. It was marked C-A2 and bears the white plug mark.
Can anyone please confirm that this connection is not used from factory and if any of you out there has a pinout for the locations on the board I would very much appreciate it?
Back to the board, though the relay seemed to work on energising it I replaced it to be sure.
Still no start.
I managed to find a wiring diagram that stated the relay itself was energised through Relay K290 - Battery Current Saving Relay that goes through to the ECM.
Does anyone know where this relay is located or familiar with it
Any help is much appreciated and or direction to a pin out diagram for the board would be great.
