How to de-pin multi-pin plug connector?

The black plug connector is in the position of C-B in JBE SPEG.
There is a locking tang on the front. Do I have to push the core out from the side round hole? or I have to place a thumb tack into a pin hole?

Thanks,

Not certain on that particular plug but most like that normally push out. I use a paper clip that I straighten. There are all kinds of different plugs when it comes to farm tractors and GPS components.
