Got my car started.... first got 2 crank position sensors from rock auto still no fire..... Then bought a OEM crank position sensor and it fired right up!
also sent my ecu to ecupro and they said everything checked out fine DME, EWS and key. Might wanna check your ECU harness to see if its sitting square and flush....Hope you get your ride sorted out. Thanks for the updates.
I have a ignition switch coming in tomorrow, dont think it the issue cause the car will fire up when i spray starting fluid in the intake and die a few seconds later.
I dont think the injectors are squirting, with the car not unlocking a few times before this (cranking but not starting) issue Im really hoping its the EWS thing not telling the injectors to do their thing.
I hate to spend the money having the Key-DME-EWS sent out to ECU Pros and have it Still not start when i get it back.

I think it might be time to send the Key/EWS/ECU. Off to the ECU Pros. And hope for the best. Ill save up the money
The KEY-EWS-AND ECU are at the ECU pros right now, it was delivered today.
I really hope this is the problem... or this car will be sold to the scrap yard.
UPDATE: I got my EWS-Key-DCM back from The ECU pros. Put everything in, First thing i noticed was the Key Chime noise was back. The car fired right up !
Big shout out to @shrevemini for hours he spent with me trying to resolve this issue, he spent a bunch of his free time when he didnt have to.
The car will not shift into 5th gear so i think that will be my next. And the Trunk/hood light is on that should be easy.
Did they say what the root cause issue(s) was/were, components failed etc. Just want to file this one in my "lurking day ruiners" file and be ready if/when it happens

They didnt say, Only said they verified a crank-nostart on their test car and fixed my stuf.
BUT I installed the EWS and DME. The car started right up, however the check engine light does not work now. It does not come on at all. Usually its on when you turn the key and then goes out once you start the car, but the light never comes on at all. Is there a problem still with my DME?

Sure sounds like it; would call them back, even before attempting a reset. Almost certainly an emissions fail if that applies in your state plus CEL is kind of nice to have working - how else would you know it's time again to come post on this board?

I need to have it smogged so I can do the registration, so i need to get it working. not sure if its a bulb and have not hooked up a OB2 scaner yet.
I did reach out to the ECU pros as well Im waiting to hear back.
So I hooked up an OBD2 scanner and I have no codes and only one incomplete monitor so its working as it should, Just no Check engine light- NO E brake light and the clusterin the midle The Speedo has no Seatbelt light the battery light oil light EML light NONE of that stuf lighs up and more.... What the hell. This weekend im going to install the origanal Key tumbler and see if that fixes it.
Probly last update on this issue .. I unhooked the battery over night. hooked it back up and everything works as it should now!

IT looks like it, I'll drive the car to work tomorrow and see. It's a 5 speed but will not shift into 5th gear, so that will be my next task....
All I can say is: I applaud your tenacity and perseverance!!

Drove the car to work this morning, no warning lights and everything looks good. I do have an Airbag light on not sure what the deal is with that, I plugged everything back in after removing both seats to clean the carpet.
The car will stay in 5th gear if I hold the stick in 5th and not touch the gas(down hill) as soon as i touch the gas it will pop out of 5th or grind because im holding the shifter in 5th.
Most likley the trans is done. Installed new front wheel hubs/bearings new rotors and pads, with the dog waching to make sure i did everything right.
I'm going to change the trans oil and just drive it I really dont NEED 5th for my 17 mile drive to work. At 225K miles im not going to invest to much into this car, It is fun to drive.

If the battery isn't disconnected before disconnecting the air bag sensors underneath the seats, believe the air bag light will come on and stay on after reinstallation until it is reset by a scanner equipped to do so. Sorry.
