I bought an 06 R52S that was an automatic but the transmission is gone. Previous owner had it taken out to repair and didn't follow through. Engine supposedly ran when car was parked.I would like to start it and video the engine running before I start taking parts off. Would also like to test the electronics before removing them. Would the fact the transmission is missing cause the ECM/ECU to prevent the car from starting? I checked the Bentley manual and did a google search for the answer. I'm going to stick a battery in it and see what happens. I have a Foxwell scanner, so maybe I can read the codes if it doesn't start.
I bought it for the Harmon Kardon amp and the convertible top parts as those are the issues I'm having with 05 R52s. I will be parting out the other stuff that is good. Complete good body and interior.
