Mini R3 GP 2006 battery dead how open the boot

HI, yesterday i tried to open my GP first gen. and couldn't open with remote control, i suppose the battery is dead and needs to be changed, so I opened the door manually with the key; But the battery is on the back, how open it as actually nothing is working? I read the instructions, there is a cable to pull under the back seats, says nothing specific about GP model as are no back seats.

. . .

It should be the same underneath but I can't say for sure because I've never seen a GP without the rear seat delete fittings...

...lift off the lid and then take out the black foam piece and the little yellow manual release puller should be there.

Open the hood and put a 12V charger (or a 12V battery) on the positive post and negative to a ground on the chassis. Then you can open the rear hatch.

This is what I do. My ‘03 MCS was built without the emergency cable release.
