Door contact switch?

Where is the contact switch for the front doors on an r55 or r56? I cannot find it on our 2009 Clubman S and would like to shut off the chime while I work on some electronics.
Thanks!

I need the power connected so I can set the levels for headunit and aftermarket LOC and amp. I'm generating a test tone with my phone and sending it through the aux input. Today I'm getting a weird cyclic interference, but with the speakers disconnected I can't tell what it is. My hunch is that it's the door chime telling me I have the key in the ignition with the door open.

If I could tape the contact switch shut I could proceed. But I can't find the switch.

Anyone? It can't be a total mystery, but I can't find an answer online or in my Bentley manual.

Of course the door contact switch should be rather easy to find. They are generally positioned in the door jam so when the door is closed the switch is depressed.

I'm sure you have checked for this obvious of a switch and having found none are naturally seeking help.

About all I can offer is absent a switch in the usual place I'm thinking that the door switch is part of the door latch. When the door is closed and the latch latches this signals the door is well closed.

One possible way to know if this how it works is to close the door but arrange to pull the handle so the door closes but the latch does not latch. If the chime goes off then the latch is not the mystery door switch it is somewhere else.
