Fuel Pressure Regulator Vacuum pipe

This one (item #13 below) doesn't like to stay connected to the fitting underneath the supercharger discharge / intercooler intake horn. Rather than replace it with a new one and then wait for the same problem to occur down the road, has anyone come up with a better solution? Can it be 'glued' on to the fitting as a temporary measure, say with aviation gasket maker (the sticky brown stuff from Permatex), or can a length of ordinary vacuum line simply be cut to size and used in lieu of it? Any reason it has to be a hard plastic line?

In the 19 years I've owned my R53 that hose has never detached itself.
Just replace it and it will be fine.

Just go buy some flexible vacuum hose and connect both ends. Make sure it’s vacuum hose so it won’t collapse.
