Vacuum hoses

So how much of an issue would it be if the big vacuum line is disconnected from the intake pipe on my 03 MCS? I tried putting it back on, but my hands are too big to squeeze the clamp and push it back in simultaneously, I got it pathway back in, but it keeps popping back off.
thanks in advance
Dustin

You might start getting a amber SEL (Service Engine Light) from the strange vacuum reading in the system.

Took me a few weeks to figure out where my disconnected line was... turned out to be the one under the intake manifold down by the supercharger. Kept popping the SEL when I hit 3/4 tank of fuel then would clear after I filled the tank. I chased the fuel system lines four times until I found the loose vacuum line.

Motor On!

I got the vacuum line put back in, and I sprayed some starting fluid around, and doesn't seem to change the idle, so maybe no vacuum leaks. So what else could be causing such a lack of power till 2500rpm?
