Normal r56 sound? Loud engine concern

Engine sounds rather loud, particularly in the front and after being started no matter how warm engine is. Doesn’t sound nearly as bad as the death rattle youtube videos, but definitely doesn’t sounds right to me. Any advice ?

Sounds like a possible exhaust leak....

BUT, noises are almost impossible to diagnose over the interwebs.

I agree...
It does sound like an exhaust leak to me as well. Sometime bolts by the down-pipe or on the turbo flange break which can lead to loud exhaust sound... It should be easy to identify is you can have someone press on the gas gently a few times while you look under the car and in the engine bay.

I agree it sounds like an exhaust leak. Bolts somewhere on exhaust system loose or could be a cracked manifold.
Try and identify where it is the loudest....

When you throttle up, does the noise get louder?
