Crossover Pipe Stuck

That dreaded crossover pipe. 2013 Mini Cooper, base model. R56 w/ N16 enigine.
Every video shows the pipe coming out easy. Not mine. I've been pulling at it for most the day. No rotational movement at all, and it is not budging.
I popped out the bottom christmas tree holding the wiring harness, and can't feel anything on the top one. I've destroyed the pipe trying to latch on with vice grips, so it has to come out now.
I even went to remove the intake housing, but of courst there is an extra hose on the intake hose that I cannot for the life of me seperate to get to the throttle body. So I guess that won't be happening.
I wasn't planning on swapping out the water pump, but pulling that might be my only hope in getting the pipe out. I just ordered one to come tomorrow.I'm not looking forward to tearing the whole car open.. Any advice will be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks.

Which hose are you referring to? Is it stock?

#10 IT looks like the diagram shows the pinch clamp (#17). For the life of me I can't get that clamp open and the other hose off. I'm going to try to pull the intake without removing the throttle body today.

I'm confused. Is it #10 or #17 you can't remove?

#10 does not look at all like #17 (neither in reality, nor in the diagram).
#17 is not a clamp (but a "blind plug")

I got it, I was able to get the manifold off without removing the throttle body. Then with the added room I was able to get the pipe out. It did not want to budge! There was no way it was coming out without removing the manifold.

And #17 was the throttle body to airbox hose. THere is a second hose coming from the bottom of that hose that I couldn't remove the pinch clamp.

What was the reason for the pipe not coming off? Gasket to tight?
More importantly: Was it aftermarket? If so, which manufacturer?

FWIW:
#10 is the rubber boot (or "hose" if you like)
#11 is the clamp at each end of the rubber boot
#17 is the blind plug

(the diagram is misleading, the list underneath is precise)

Pretty sure it was OEM.This is a 2013 that my in-laws passed off to my wife last year. It only had ~35k miles at the time, so a lot of sitting around. The seal was just too tight.
