Loss of power in 1st, when disengaging clutch
Loss of power in 1st, when disengaging clutch
Hello NAM people! I have a problem - hoping someone can lead me in the right direction.
2003, R50 - brand new clutch.
In neutral, car revs fine (no perceived acceleration issues).
When I put in first gear - give it gas, disengage the clutch pedal - I lose power. I literally have to floor the car to get the revs up, to get out of first.
Same as 2nd gear, but not as bad as first.
I have put all scan results here : https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...e8?usp=sharing
Can someone help me diagnose what the problem might be?
Thank you!

You could try something which may or may not help. Reset the drive-by-wire throttle synchronization.
Gas pedal to the floor & hold it there.
Key in, ignition on, don't start the engine.
Wait 30+ seconds.
Key out.
Foot off the pedal.

So it turned out to be the shift cables (between shift box and transmission). The links were damaged (plastic on the 2003). Luckily the part directly from BMW is less than $100.
Case closed. Thank you.
