How to install the two metal main bearing cap seals?

I've got the two cap seals I need to install on the bottom of the block. I forgot to put them in before installing the oil pan, but it appears that there's enough clearance. What's the procedure for installing these? My guess is to lube the outer sides with Loctite (I've got permeated thread lock red High Temperature (3/8" to 1.5")) and wack them with a hammer until they stop moving. It looks they should probably come out flush, correct?

Yikes. Sorry no responses sooner. They just slip in between a groove and the bearings. I guess if everything is bloted up they will need to be tapped into place. They don't require locktite.
