Best Scan Tool to Diagnose SRS Issue
Best Scan Tool to Diagnose SRS Issue
Got my SRS warning light. Checked connectors under seat but didn't find anything amiss. Might as well bite the bullet and buy a good scan tool that will identify the culprit AND, more importantly, clear the light. As I understand it, the SRS will only allow three tries and, if not fixd, it will require a new SRS control module so I want to get this right the first time. What's the best scan tool around for my money? Foxwell NT510 Elite or ?
Have the Foxwell 510 ad so far it does everything that I want it to do except reset adaptives. I use the manual scan because the VIN scan doesn’t pick up all the modules.
I’ve never hear about the 3 time you need to replace a module.

Well, I already had an AUTEL AP200 dongle for our Porsche Macan Turbo so I just purchased the BMW add-on software for $21.95 on Google Play. It identifed a whole bunch of codes in addition to the SRS indicating the Battery Safety Terminal was the problem. After checking the usual suspects like the connectors under the seats, I elected to do the simple thing: Disconnected the battery for a few minutes, pulled up the codes and erased them all. Re-started the car (with my safety belt engaged) and the SRS light went out. Hopefully, it won't come back.
