04 R53 - 5E5D brake fluid level sensor OBD fault

Does anyone know if the 1st Gen (2004) R53 MCS has a brake fluid change interval reset?
I've recently (3 months ago), had my '04 MCS in for some engine leak repairs at an independent BMW/ Mini garage.
I also had them do a brake fluid flush based on their recommendation. The brake fluid was replaced with new, bled and is at max level.
While doing a random OBD scan; I discovered a fault code - 5E5D "Level sensor, brake fluid". No warning lights on the instrument/Speedo, brakes @75% life and the car stops fine.
I found a thread on another forum, that provides directions for oil and brake fluid reset via the Speedo/OD. I followed the directions to a 'T' - but "brake fluid change" does not show up in the 51A reset menu. Just engine oil and END.

If there is no reset for the brake fluid interval - That's fine (I guess)...I would really like to know if there might be a bad brake level sensor to replace?. Or at the very least clear the code from my OBD (Creator C110+). The fault remains in the OBD
no matter how many times I try to erase/clear.

Thanks

It's entirely possible the code was tripped if the shop doing the flush turned on the ignition while the brake reservoir cap was removed.
Clear the code and see if it comes back.

I think your thought regarding the ignition/reservoir cap causing the reading is highly probable.
I've tried several times to clear the fault. The OBD responds "Fault Codes Erased"....but the fault code 5E5D continues to be stored in the OBD.
I can't complain too much (I suppose) since no warning lights appear on the instrument Tach or Speedo. I'm just a little compulsive about things being just RIGHT.
At least the OBD had managed to clear/turn off the airbag light after a squib fix.

Any Ideas are still welcome
