Does anyone know how to test the wiring to the Mass Air Flow sensor?
I am still getting a Mass Air Flow code on my 09 Clubman (non-turbo) after changing the Mass Aire Flow sensor. Anyone know how to test the wiring between it and the computer? Can I do this with a multimeter? If this can be done with a Foxwell scanner what options do I need to select?
I meant to add. After I replaced MAF (with Ebay) I chased my tail for days on the way care ran. I took it to the dealer in Houston and their techs couldn't even check it. They had a used car with same engine set up and swapped parts and it ran like a dream. Because they kept it for so long for trouble shooting and since they didn't have a replacement in stock $526, they didn't charge me. Wow. Very impressed at the N/C.
I purchased a Bosch from Auto Zone. all of my parts have been Bosch or original manufacture. Nothing from questionable sources like EBay. I have another thread where I was chasing a low power motor and this is all that is left. Fixed the throttle (replaced and reprogramed, replaced the differential pressure sensor eliminating those codes, replaced the water temp sensor, now the fan turns off properly. Cleaned the VANOS sensors to remove the code regarding those. Also did the normal oil, air filter and plugs. I doubt it is a coil since there is no misfire codes associated with any single one. 90 octane fresh gas.
The Foxwell scanner mentions Mass Air or DZM (sp?). I kind of doubt the computer since this is the only code left. Would like to check the communication between them.
