R56 ac confessor replacement help

Hi guys, so I hit a dear a while back and the rally light went through my grill and punctured my condenser. I’ve got the replacement. I’ve got a shop that will do the recharging and anything related.
I just need to know how easily access the condenser to replace it if anybody has done it before. Thank you.

My front end was already apart when I removed mine, and I didn't put one back in --- the A/C hardware was removed.

Shouldn't be too much teardown involved --- start at the front and remove whatever is needed to access the mounting hardware. Might even find a replacement procedure in https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/ or the Bentley manual. Definitely look at https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/select for how it's all put together.

Be sure to check the radiator for hidden damage.

Search "front end service mode." It is how to remove the front structure and access much of the engine bay very easily. Mod Mini on YouTube is very good in my opinion.

When replacing the condenser you'll also want to replace the drier. It's sometimes an integral part of the condenser and sometimes not. You'll want to check before buttoning everything back up.

It is pretty easy job. The connections bolt together, and have o-rings that seal the tubes. Get replacement o-rings. Follow the instructions to remove the front bumper cover for service mode and it will all be in front of you.

I also use Nylog "Blue" on refrigeration o-rings (it is a type of sealant made from refrigeration oil, so won't contaminate anything). The blue version is for R134A in our MINI's

The drier is built into the condenser. Do check whether it is included or not - you need a new one - MINI sells it separately, some of the aftermarket vendors sell them together.
