MINI mechanic?

My warranty is going to expire soon , and I was wandering if anybody in the LA are knows of a good MINI mechanic (besides dealer)

Good mechanic= Knows how/and where to open bonneth!

P.s. May be we can start a list of reliable MINI mechanics for all the States just like Tire Rack does with its installers !?? Just a thought !!!

I know a great one in San Luis Obispo (an actual Brit who specializes in British cars and owns several MINIs), but that might be a little too far for you...

What about Steve's auto clinic? They seem to do mods for Minis and might do regular maintenance on Minis.

I had Wanda's K&N Typhoon CAI kit installed by Steve, plus he sold it to me for a good price, too. He owns a MINI and is very enthusiastic about them. I will have him do a pre-roadtrip oil change/inspection before I head east for the Dragon again in April.

Steve runs a nice shop and I can recommend him.

I can't say enough about Steve's Auto Clinic. He has a S to start with so he has a vested interest in the Mini Itself. He has done twin charger installs , head work and cam installs , all types of suspension installs including 4 wheel alignment, quaife , phantom grip and light flywheel installs, pulley's and cold air intakes by the dozens and even a few NOS systems as well. Bottom line is if there is ANYTHING you need done on your car he has most likely already done it. Steve's has been the location for both of Randy Webbs So Cal pulley parties which as you can find on the net have gone really well. There is at least a handful of Minis being worked on at any one time as well as his former interest corvettes and cameros . I have no personal stake in his shop other than spreading the word as a favor to my fellow mini motor heads. His customer base now stretches from San Diego to San Francisco so you can't be too far to benefit. He has started a basic web site to give you some additional info. Ask around you can't go wrong.

Hiya Randy! I didn't realize that Steve is also into Corvettes. We have one of those, too! Good to know! And thanks for the link to his website!

Into corvettes might be a understatement. For about 12 years he was THE guy to go to for corvette and camero upgrades. He still works on them but his curent passion is the Mini. I am not sure exactly how many cars he owns but I have seen a 60,63,67 and 69 corvettes and several 68 and 69 cameros as well as a 86 chevelle. His cars are immaculat and for the most part all matching numbers etc. As a matter of fact the tv show Las Vegas used one of his cars the yellow camero convert as a feature car so you may have seen it. Bring your vette and your mini they will both be in the best of hands . Randy
