Window down, motor works, no grinding or clanking
Hi there! I am trying to figure out the power window system on a 2006 Mini. The window went down the other day, but now won't cone up. There are no clanking or grinding noises. When I take the door panel off, I can lift the window up, but there is no movement when I hit the switch either up or down. I have been looking for a schematic or troubleshooting guide, but haven't seen one yet. I've also searched the threads here and elsewhere, but haven't seen anyone post this issue.
And yes, I did try punching the door, too. No joy.

If you can hear the motor running, I would pull the regulator/motor assembly out. Take pair of pliers gently on the motor hub spline and try to turn it after you've taken it out of the regulator. Don't damage the splines. If you can budge it and see it turn when you hit the switch, you have to have a broken regulator.
