R55 rear barn doors

I have a problem with my 08 s clubman that I haven't been able to sort out. I've been getting a rear door ajar warning that dings whenever I come to a stop and start again (red lights, stop signs, etc) and cargo/rear puddle lights no longer switch on when the barn doors are opened. the problem began shortly after I replaced a faulty right barn door latch. The doors latch and work and I've tried adjusting the latch but the dings continue.I'm more concerned with the door as I suspect the the dead lights are a symptom of the car not being able to tell when the doors are shut. Is there a sensor or a fuse that needs replacement? Or something to reset? Also the rear wipers, washers, and defroster aren't working. But the door latches and works from both the fob and the door handle.

I've ran the length of the wiring harness and found nothing continuity from end to end and megged out the insulation no holes. I believe it may be in the frm module, no output to connectors pin outs.

Yes I did... it was the sensor inside the door latch. Have to replace the whole electric door latch assembly. The passenger side one. Just make.sure you get the correct one. Both latches look the same but one has the needed contacts
inside.

Ah, thankyou so much for the reply!
when you say passenger side, is yours also left hand drive? i.e the latch in the door and not in the boot well?

Yes, thank you. I just checked both the old one, and the new one, and they completely identical on the outside but I looked inside lock system and they are a little bit different. In the old one there is a small metal piece which turned out to be the sensor! When I plugged back the old one all the rear lights light up again, and as I pushed that sensor with a thin pin the light shut down. So it turned out that is what causing the problem, my new lock doesn't contain that sensor...
I think i have to buy a new one...
