My car warrenty is about to expire - I'm literally a few hundred shy - Is there a check list for wrapping up things with the dealer someone can suggest?

I'd let them know about rattles and the like. Anything that's periodic, and hasn't given you enough problems to really do anything about. That way, they're logged as problems during the warrantee period. Then you can fight with them about covering the repair later!

If you're really into it, you can do compression tests, cylinder leak-down tests etc. to see if the wear in your motor is "normal". but I don't know if anyone would admit that you have an excessivly warn motor that is covered by Mini. If you do it, and it works, let me know. I'm almost at that point too!

Funny you should mention this.

I have an appointment for Saturday to have "things checked out" --- I have 47,954 miles (and it is 99 miles to my dealer) and if I don't do it this Saturday it will be Christmas, New Years Day, and over the 50,000 miles by the next weekend.

Getting it all checked out before the warranty goes by by

I do have a noise that sounds like a bad water pump and I want that taken care of, if that is what it is, under warranty :smile: Pulley, what pulley?
