Snapped engine bracket ground attachment

Last night I replaced by belt tensioner and had to remove the upper engine mount bracket (cast aluminum piece). Upon reinstalling the ground strap, the mount on the bracket snapped. I temporarily attached the ground to one of the supercharger mounting bolts. Is there a good repair, short of buying a new bracket? Or, is there a better alternate location to mount the ground strap to the engine?

You just need a good, clean & solid connection between the engine & the body/frame/chassis. Two won't hurt.
I'd use one of the bolts on the engine block itself, rather than on one of the accessories.

You would have to make sure its connected and flat/clean. You Might be able to drill out a small hole on that mount and then use a solid bolt with a nut on the other end so it will not walk out.

Thanks, I'll look for some alternate locations on the block. Good idea to go to two, especially if I fix/replace the engine bracket.

Thanks for the link. I'll check to see if there is an alternate place to drill a hole for a bolt in the bracket that won't substantially weaken it.

BTW - I bought the car a week and half ago and I'm already have three orders from you trying to get the car sorted! I'm now working on my fourth order as I uncover more things (and I'm still in the engine bay)...
