I am in the market for a new radiator for my 2004 R53. ECS lists a genuine MINI 'Aluminum Radiator - Upgraded Canadian Version.' Cost is $324.31, compared to standard MINI at $206.00. Anybody experienced with this? Worth the difference? Any idea who makes it?

We have had people use it as an OEM+ upgrade as it has the metal endtank and neck as the plastic ones tend to leak at that point over time.

Nissens/behr for the OEM non canada version if i remember they bounce back and forth, I think the originals back in the day were Valeo. I dont have one in back right now otherwise I would run back and check.

 

Interesting that it appears to be a metal end-tank only on the passenger side. Still plastic on driver's side. That said, all of my radiators have failed on the passenger side. So, question is: is it worth it?
