Can you access horn by removing passenger headlamp?

2012 Cooper S Convertible. From looking at YouTube videos everyone seems to take off the front bumper to replace the stock horns. When I look Under the hood, it seems that removing the passenger side headlamp, only four bolts, it would give me access to the horns. Any reason why this isn’t the suggested way of doing this? It seems a lot quicker. Thoughts?

What would be the appropriate forum? Don’t see one that looks like a better choice. Thanks.

JAB 67 meant you should post in the 2nd gen minis, under R57 or stock problems/issues. to your question. I think the issue will be moving/pushing down on the mud guard to gain access. The radiator support will be in your way. for easiness, it is much better to access it from the bottom. you dont need to remove the front bumper. remove the passenger wheel and the 1st half of the mud guard.

also, check newtis.info for procedures and such.
