Electrical problems...

Hi- I have a 2007 S Convertible. I have had ongoing electrical issues where I have various lights coming on while I'm driving, the wipers will go on, the fog lights, interior light, air bag, etc. They don't all come on at once, but it seems like every time I drive now I have something else go on. Today it was the interior car light and open hood/trunk light. I had the battery replaced three months ago. The other day, the car wouldn't start and needed to be jumped. My mechanic said the battery was low. (I swapped out the battery myself last time.) He put it through tests to see if he could find a drain someplace, but it all checked out. Does anybody have any idea what this could be? Thanks in advance for the help.

I have an '06 R52 JCW car and I was also chasing electrical issues last year while putting the car back together. I found this large CAN BUS connection all rotten, corroded, & broken due to massive water that had puddled in the passenger front seat footwell. The seat & carpet trim must be removed to access this connection. What I did was just strip all the wires down to nice clean wire, and solder them all together and wrap with a piece of rubber hose and electrical tape. Once I fixed this, everything on the car that didn't work started working again, from the chime for the key, the rear park sensors, and the convertible top as well

This is just what I found on my car, I'm not saying that this is your problem, but being a convertible, it would not hurt to check it out. My '04 R53 does not have this CAN BUS connection under the front seat

Wow, I will definitely take a look there. We have had some crazy rain over the last few months, and my problems did seem to start after I found some water in the car. Thanks so much for the reply!
