Vacuum pump failed?

There is oil dripping under the vacuum pump but I can't tell if it's the pumps rubber O ring sealing, or some other issue of the pumps body itself!

usually it is the o-ring. also, that corner of the valve cover is known to leak.

if they were done already, just clean the area good so you know if there are new leaks....also some times the oil pressure sensor leaks.

Where is the oil pressure sensor located? Is it adjacent to the Vpump?

Ok will check, although I must say that oil seems to be dripping from the left side of the VP as the car is seen from front.
Shouldn't be there some code coming up for the oil pressure sensor?

a code isnt necessary for small leak, i think. the vacuum pump itself leaking isnt something i've seen on any of my minis. but, to be sure of the source, i suggest just cleaning the area and monitor it.

if that is the case, you may then take out the pump and examine if there is an internal leak. also, was the pump torqued properly when the o ring was done/? aslo, the shop should've been able to let you know if the pump was leaking when they replaced the o ring! no?

Does the vp need to be torqued with specific power like the chain tensioner is needed to?
