Lost my shifting on the highway

So I’m on the highway coming home and I was noticing that my car was having a hard time finding the gears. By the time I was at my exit I couldn’t shift my car into any gear and head to coast off the highway

I was finally able to force it into second and make it home in second gear.

After getting home and letting the car sit and cool off I started it again and was able to shift through the gears with no problem at all

I was going to start with changing the gear oil. Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated

Hmmm. Sounds like it might be a bad throwout bearing in the trans. Were you able to completely press your clutch to the floor as normal? Any difference in the effort required to push the clutch pedal?

no change in the clutch pedal. Same amount of play, no change in effort.
