My Mini met a Dimensional Vortex

Yesterday when I started my car the following happened.

1) A warning indicator I later realized was the Time of day was not set. (I think it interesting that the car gives you a warning light that the time of day is not set)
2) Then the rear hatch opened all by itself
3) Then the ABS light went on -- then a few seconds later off again
4) Then the check engine light went on -- then a few seconds later off again.

Then the warnings all went away, doors stopped opening by themselves and the car runs great. Vortex over.

So before this all happened I brought it through a car-wash and then it rained all afternoon (yes I washed the car before it rained). I can only guess something got wet. Any guesses/hints on where the water could have gotten in to cause this shift in the dimensional fabric of the mini universe? Other thoughts as to why this might have happened?

Look up MINI JBE module. Your battery could also be failing. I'd rule out the battery first.

I keep hearing that if you have a sunroof, the fuse box of prone to getting wet. Do a search.

Yes, water coming down the interior from the sunroof hose or the battery is ready to die.

I will look to see if I can find any water going to the fuse box

I have seen no other indications of the battery, but I maybe I will bring it to an auto parts place and have it tested.

Yep could have a bad cell or something. Check the cables going to the battery also and they are on tight.

And stop running it through those washing machines. This forum is full of horror stories of what happens to MINIs.

And concur with possible battery problem. A failing battery can cause all sorts of intermittent gremlin like problems.
