no crank - no start intermittent problem

Folks, my 2003 MCS has the aggravating problem of sometimes refusing to crank or start. I live in the mountains of SW Mew Mexico at about 7000 ft, and it does rain & snow here. Latest problem is that car wouldn't start after sitting in rain/snow/cold for several days, although all other electrics worked. Had it towed to the closest MINI dealer in Phoenix. After it was unloaded, the car started for them, and they can't get it to not start, so they can't find the problem! Have already had the clutch sensor switch replaced, and the recall for the crankcase vent hose (I think) collapsing was corrected. Car has had no aftermarket modifications. Don't know which version (V36, V38, etc.) the car has. Anyone had this problem, and how was it fixed?
