Turbo failure?

Just replaced my hpfp on my 09 cooper S which I had all the symptoms saying it was bad that issues fixed but now I’m only hitting 5psi max at wide open throttle, I hear it spool up to 5 then die down, bit of burning oil smell too I’m thinking failed turbo seals but figured I’d ask if anyone else has ideas

Did you have the problem before you did the hpfp? did you scan it any codes? you may have a turbo air leak, did you knock off one of the pipes by accident when doing the hpfp?

Check the vacuum line going to the wastegate. Sounds like the gate might be stuck open.

Check the intake pipe that goes from the Intake to the turbo. After i did my HPFP mine kept blowing off and ended up having to replace the Hose
