R53 rear springs

Good morning, all. Attached is a pic of the rear spring from my 04 R53 (replacing shocks). It has color bands of green, yellow and blue (I'm partially colorblind so if you see something different, I understand). Can anyone tell me if these are factory springs, or aftermarket? Thanks.

Thanks, Zsm. I see that you have an 06 R53. I'm assuming these springs are color coded just like yours?

It’s an ‘05 R53 actually. Yes. The springs have color codes similar to yours. Blue and light gray squares.

Has the sunroof and some of the common options and the antiquated Nav system.

Those are factory and with your VIN I can get you the oem springs and you can see if they match, someone times the colors might but most of the time you need the MINI sticker on them with the 11 part number as MINI did not stamp the OEM part number onto the spring or even paint them on.

Using the VIN decoder on the forum site, the suspension is listed as follows:
- MacPherson strut-type front sport "plus" suspension
- Multi-link rear suspension
What does the "plus" designation indicate?
Thanks.

There was sport and sport +. I believe the sport + was just stiffer setup.
