My 2009 R57 S has been making a rattling noise when the engine during acceleration while the engine is cold.I read there is a class action lawsuit regarding the timing belt that ultimately ended with a recall... since I am the second owner if the car does the recall apply to me too in the event that I need to have the recalled belt replaced?

 

Call the dealer, I think that recall has ended. BTW, it's a chain and not a belt. Whether covered by recall or not, sounds like it needs to be replaced.
