Climate control panel no lights not working

A couple of times over the past several weeks, after I have started the car, I noticed that the climate control panel wasn't lit up and wasn't heating or cooling. Stopped the cars and turned it back on the the panel lit up and worked like normal. Anyone seen this and know what the problem could be?

Have you removed the module and checked the connection? Could be loose and vibration is causing an intermittent disconnect.

I've had some occasional experience with intermittent modules (especially with HVAC) but it's ALWAYS been associated with a car that had a weak battery. Have you checked battery voltage?

Thanks for the comments.
I haven't touched the wiring harness yet. That doesn't mean it isn't loose. Where might it be located?

I will have the battery load tested this weekend. I don't remember when I changed it was last changed out (so that could mean it is at end of life).

Mine does this from time to time. My battery is less than 6 months old, as well as my alternator. I haven't bothered to investigate it, but I'm curious to see if you find a solution. I just kind of chock it up to a quirk of the MINI. I'm curious if your car has the stock radio, or any evidence that the center console has been worked on. Mine had an aftermarket cable attached to the head unit and I kind of suspect that they knocked something loose when they did the work.
