Valve covers ebay vs oem
Valve covers ebay vs oem
Just bought a 2009 r55 with a blown clutch. Its a project car and I am in the process of getting parts.Question is about valve covers .I heard there was a revision to the original valve cover to try to reduce the amount of oil in the intact tract of the engine.True or false?if the design was revised I see no reason to reinstall the original cover with a new gasket-just get a new 1.Anybody used the cheaper valve covers from ebay?I noticed ECS has a an aftermarket cover at a reasonable price.
Yes there was a design update for the OEM. I am using the HT version ( which was designed off the update and it has been good so far, matches OEM and no CEL and oil consumption has been reduced. I also had a leak in the center of it so now that's fixed. Also comes with a 3year warranty so thats good, MINI OEM comes with a 2 year warranty..
