So, I need some guidance...
I recently installed my new race engine (which I mated to my 6 speed Getrag).
I get the engine transmission assembly installed in the car and I promptly return the cherry picker to the rental firm.
Dilemma:
I was/am unable to "try" the clutch pedal, as I am waiting for a new clutch slave cylinder as my old one is shot (also the connecting line). These are being replaced; both due here next week.
Not wanting to get too far along before finding there are "Tranny" issues, I decide to try and "move" the lever that activates the Throw out bearing (ToB) by applying hand force. It goes nowhere and is very firm (I cannot move it!!) It's almost like the pressure plate is already being activated as I can run through all gears keeping in mind there is no clutch pedal with slave cylinder OUT.
Bottom Line:
I am worried I may need to take my transmission completely out to diagnose, because the ToB lever does NOT move outward (not by hand nor using even greater force; it just won't budge). I have not tried hitting it with a hammer!
I cannot imagine that the clutch slave cylinder could provide so much force.
Important details:
I installed an aftermarket Sachs Race clutch and Sachs Race disc (and a new ToB of course).
What could be wrong??
Photo below shows my clutch installed. Sorry, no image of ToB installed but my clutch disc was installed facing the right way around because, the clutch disc is labelled "this side towards gear case" and you can't install it backwards or it would bind. I installed the ToB exactly as Pelican parts figures say to do.
- as said to prevent lever movement I zip tied it to the transmission case.
Do I have a problem or ignore it until the slave cylinder and line arrive then try again? I either keep putting the car back together or am stalled out, and I need the car for an immediate 12 hour trip in a few days and taking out the transmissions means a big delay but I am all ears...

Sounds good.
I get the slave and line next week.
Just making sure, as I once installed an engine in a vehicle of mine and missed a crucial step causing me extra work.
So, no issue after all. Needed hydraulic pressure to activate clutch. Note: For bleeding, I ended up just compressing the slave cylinder with a clamp and taking the air out of it using a rod jammed between the pedal and the seat. Took me 5 minutes; no power bleeder. Done
