What is this vacuum line?

Hi all, long time browser, first time submitter. I have a 2011 Coupe S. I know this is the R56 forum, but I think there are more viewers here and I have an engine question.

Took the car to the dealership. They replaced the high pressure fuel pump and the intake duct between the MAF and the turbocharger.

Anyway, got the car back and they seemed to have forgotten to reinstall the air filter housing correctly and clamp down the new intake pipe. WTH. So I’m tightening everything up for them...

But then I also discover this vacuum line that isn’t connected too anything. It’s below the air intake pipe. I cant see any obvious place that it would connect. RealOEM.com doesn’t give me any hints either. Any idea where this goes?

Thanks,
Ed

I just did a Thermostat housing replace and have the same question.
Just to clarify, it plugs into the Automatic transmission on the one end and just remains open and unattached to anything at the other end?
Thank you.

Never Mind.
Additional searches answered my question.
Just a vent that doesn't attach to anything.
Thanks anyway
Bob
