passenger side mirror glass replacement

Hi

2006 R 50

I need to replace the mirror only.

The replacement piece looks like it just snaps on.

Tried to locate a video of how to...but no luck

Has anyone done one before ?

much appreciated

Thank you

I am not sure how it mounts, but today on my 2008 MCD the drivers side mirror glass just fell off and broke.
so i need to get the new glass and mount it. If I figure it out i will let you know what I find.

The mirror glass snaps in with plastic tabs. To remove it, simply place a pry-bar between the edge of the mirror housing and the glass, then pry it out. It will pop out so be sure to catch it with your free hand. Make sure the pry bar you use is plastic so as not to damage the mirror housing.

There may be two wires attached to the heating element on the back of the mirror glass. Simply pull those off and attach them to the new mirror.

For installation, just press the new glass into the bracket and it will pop into place.

Thank you all for your responses.

It seems pretty easy and I do have plastic pry bars.

I'll let all know the results when I replace it.

You can do it just with fingers - just move the mirror all the way in.
